✔Verified Artisan
WAMI Express helps you find skilled workers for your construction jobs, from masons and tilers to electricians, plumbers and carpenters.
When an artisan has this badge, our team has checked who they are, the skills they claim and the work they’ve done for past clients. It helps you choose someone with more confidence before you let them onto your site.
Every artisan goes through the same steps before the badge appears on their profile.
We check the artisan’s Ghana Card or other government ID and confirm their phone number and the area they work in.
We review their trade certificates or apprenticeship background where they have them, such as NVTI certificates, and any licence their trade requires, such as an Energy Commission licence for electrical wiring.
We visit a finished site or review photos of their recent work, and confirm with the client that the artisan really did the job.
We ask people who have hired them whether the artisan turned up when agreed, stuck to the quoted price and finished the work properly.
The artisan commits to giving clear quotes before starting, keeping to agreed times, being honest about what they can and can’t do, and treating your home or site with respect.
We review every verified artisan at least once a year, and we listen to what customers tell us after hiring them.
If an artisan stops meeting our standards, for example through repeated complaints, abandoned jobs or poor workmanship, we remove the badge from their profile.
Artisans don’t work for WAMI Express. They are independent workers. We help you find them, but the job, the price and the payment are agreed between you and the artisan.
It isn’t a guarantee of every job. Verification tells you about an artisan’s identity, skills and track record. It doesn’t mean we supervise or guarantee the work on your site.
It isn’t a warning about other artisans. Artisans without the badge simply haven’t completed our review yet. Many are new to WAMI Express.
Agree the details before work starts. Put the scope of work, the total price and the timeline in writing, even if it’s a WhatsApp message you both confirm.
Pay in stages. Avoid paying the full amount upfront. Link payments to work you can see has been completed.
Know what materials are being used. Buy materials yourself, or ask for receipts, so you know exactly what goes into your building. You can order construction materials directly from WAMI Express.
Check the work as it progresses. Visit the site regularly, and raise concerns early rather than at the end of the job.
Tell us. Every report is reviewed by our team and can affect whether the artisan keeps the badge. If a problem involves theft, violence or danger to anyone, contact the police first.
Get listed on WAMI Express so customers can find and hire you, and ask our team to arrange your verification.
